Finally! I have been on the road for over three years now and blogging away on my Travelpod site… which has been great, but I always kinda wanted a blog with my own domain name. Just to make it more personal. Part of the problem though was that I couldn’t find a decent domain name! Seriously! Well I hope that with Journey In Word… I have the ticket!
I didn’t want a name that was too travel specific, because …what happens when I stop travelling and still want to blog?! And I didn’t want it to be too serious, because, well …I’m not!
But I wanted it to reflect the type of stuff I write about. And I do happen to write a lot about my inner experience! And so Journey In Word for me fits the bill pretty well!

And I have! I’ve been doing it for over three years now. Hasn’t always been easy but I never thought it would be. In that time, I have backpacked South America for six months, came home to Canada for six months and since then I set off on an epic bicycle trip around the world!
I made it all the way from London, England to Koh Lanta, Thailand… a journey that took 18 months and clocked just over 12,000 kms on the seat of a bike. Two bikes actually. I wore my first one out by the time I got to China!
The last year, I’ve spent in Thailand. Recovering! Oh and doing some house sitting. Hmmm. House sitting in Paradise… not a bad gig at all!
Now I am venturing away from paradise for a challenging cycle trip through the Himalayas! I’m sure my blog for the next several months will be inundated with posts of this expedition!
I will also be posting videos and photos of my “World By Bike” trip. Now that I have my web home all set up! Hmmmm. It’s nice to be home!
Anyhoo. Hopefully that gives you an idea of who I am and what this blog is about!
